19 June 2019 marks the third and final day of the 27th AMIC Annual Conference held this year at the Faculty of Communication Arts Chulalongkorn University. The three-day academic event is organised by the faculty in collaboration with The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), 
a not-for-profit organisation at the forefront of research in the field of communication in Asia.

Scholars, researchers and students from around the world attended inspiring and groundbreaking talks from fellow researchers and peers from a wide range of research background and contexts under the theme "Communication, Technology and New Humanism”.

some of the sessions that generated a lot of interests include Georgette Wang (Honorary Chair Professor of the National Chengchi University)’s talk on the development of Asian communication theory and her encouragement on building more dialogue across the field whether it is between East and West or among ourselves in the East, UNESCO Chair in Global E-learning and Professor Emeritus of University of Tampere, Finland, Tapio Varis’s assertion on the integration of communication values that are not confined to dominant world cultures, but represents a deeper understanding of the values that have been accepted until now across the world.

Professor Dr Parichart Sthapitanonda, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Arts, put forward her recommendations on building academic advancement and vibrancy in Asian communication research by generating more collaboration and exchange between local and international scholars.

On the evening of Tuesday 18 June, all participants were invited to the Gala dinner where Dr Leela Rao was announced as the 2019 AMIC Asia Communication Awardee and everyone enjoyed delicious traditional Thai dinner and performances. The President of Chulalongkorn University Professor Dr.Bundhit Eua-Arporn made a surprise appearance to great our guests from all around the world.

At the end of the conference, Ramon R. Tuazon gave a closing remark to express his deep gratitude for Chulalongkorn’s hospitality and fruitful collaboration, followed by an exchange of tokens of appreciation between AMIC and the Faculty of Communication Arts. And the 27th AMIC Annual Conference ends with an announcement and ceremonial turnover of key to host AMIC conference - from Chulalongkorn University to Communication University of China.

วันที่ 17-19 มิถุนายน 2562 คณะนิเทศศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ร่วมกับสถาบัน The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานประชุมประจำปี AMIC ครั้งที่ 27 (27th AMIC Annual Conference)

โดยงานประชุมครั้งนี้ ได้รับความสนใจจากนักศึกษา นักวิชาการ และนักวิจัยจากทั่วทุกมุมโลก เดินทางมาเข้าร่วมนำเสนองานวิจัยภายใต้หัวข้อ “Communication, Technology, and New Humanism”

ตลอด 3 วัน เต็มไปด้วยกิจกรรมทางวิชาการที่น่าสนใจ ทั้งการเสวนาแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ใหม่ๆ ในวงวิชาการการสื่อสาร โดยได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากรหลากหลายแขนง เช่น Professor Emeritus Tapio Varis ประธาน UNESCO ในสาขา Global E-Learning, Eddie Kuo คณบดีผู้ก่อตั้ง Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information แห่ง Nanyang Technological University ประเทศสิงคโปร์, Georgette Wang ประธานกิตติมศักดิ์มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติ Chengchi เป็นต้น และมีการจัด Parallel Sessions สำหรับการนำเสนอผลงานวิชาการใหม่ๆ ที่น่าสนใจมากกว่าร้อยผลงาน

ในเย็นวันอังคารที่ 18 มิถุนายน 2562 แขกผู้มีเกียรติทุกท่านได้ร่วมเข้าร่วมในงาน Gala Dinner และมีการประกาศรางวัลต่างๆ โดยผู้ร่วมงานได้อิ่มเอมกับการแสดงจากนิสิตคณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และอาหารไทยรสชาติดั้งเดิม และยังได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.บัณฑิต เอื้ออาภรณ์ อธิการบดีจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เดินทางมาร่วมในงานครั้งนี้ด้วย

ในวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน 2562 Mr.Ramon R. Tuazon เลขาธิการ AMIC ได้กล่าวปิดการประชุมและแสดงความรู้สึกขอบคุณอย่างสุดซึ้งต่อความร่วมมือและการต้อนรับอันดีของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย 
โดยมีการแลกเปลี่ยนของที่ระลึกเพื่อแสดงความขอบคุณระหว่างสองสถาบัน และมีพิธีการส่งต่อสถานะเจ้าภาพการประชุมในครั้งต่อไปให้แก่ Communication University of China
